SOULFLY Guitarist Launches COMMITTEE OF THIRTEEN Side Project

SOULFLY/ex-ILL NINO guitarist Marc Rizzo recently released the debut album from his side band COMMITTEE OF THIRTEEN. The CD, which was issued Nov. 23 via Phlamencore Records, features all the songs originally intended for Rizzo's CORETEZ project that featured Roger Vasquez (ex-ILL NINO) on vocals. When Marc and Roger parted ways, Marc had already written five new songs, making CORETEZ' track on the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" soundtrack the only officially available recording from the group. The remaining songs went into COMMITTEE OF THIRTEEN and feature Mike Viso on vocals. In a recent interview, Marc described the CD as "musically the most diverse metal record of the year. Intricate metal guitars, amazing vocals, and of course a myriad of flamenco guitar and percussion."
